The award, presented by the Australian Business Arts Foundation (AbaF), recognises an individual with outstanding leadership skills in encouraging philanthropic giving to Australian culture.
Mr Reid was Chairman of Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Arts (MCA) for four years from 1994 to 1998. His advocacy and financial support contributed to the Museum’s vision and success as an important national cultural institution. He donated over $1 million to the MCA through the Reid Family Trusts and personal contributions.
| AGSM Emeritus Chairman Mr John Reid AO recently received the Goldman Sachs JBWere Philanthropy Leadership Award for his advocacy of Australian art. |
