Professor Robert Wood elected Fellow of the American Psychological Association

Professor Robert Wood was recently made a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Behaviour (SIOP) - Division 14 of the American Psychological Association.
Fellow status requires that a person’s work has had an international impact.

Professor Alec Cameron, Dean of the Australian School of Business™, said: “Professor Wood’s recent research focuses on task complexity, goal setting and the effects of feedback and self-regulation, resulting in a number of publications in leading international journals. He has conducted many empirical studies in this field and is acknowledged as the world's leading expert in the area.”
“Professor Wood’s 1986 model of task complexity and its effects on task motivation and performance is generally regarded as a classic in the field, and his subsequent work on self-regulation, personality processes and learning are at the very leading edge of research in organizational psychology.”
Professor Wood’s work on performance management and remuneration systems is extremely influential internationally.
“From a more applied perspective, Professor Wood’s work on performance management and remuneration systems, especially in the public service, has been extremely influential in Australia and internationally,” said Professor Cameron.
