About Myles Baron-Hay
 | Originally from Perth, Myles is an engineer with sixteen years experience in the financial services industry who in 2003 was appointed Chief Executive of the Sydney Swans.
Clearly a diverse background, Myles has been Chief Executive or Managing Director of companies in three different industries – commercial construction, funds management and now sports administration. He has been responsible for operations throughout the Asia Pacific region.
An enthusiastic and capable leader of people, Myles builds very strong teams with a shared set of values, a common vision and a clear understanding of what it takes to compete successfully.
A self-confessed sports enthusiast who appreciates most games played at the elite level. In his youth he played for the Claremont Football Club until deemed “surplus to requirements”, is a much better yachtsman having represented Australia, a very honest golfer and enjoys long distance running (albeit long is getting shorter these day). |
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil-Hons) from the University of WA and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management (1987-88).
Myles and his wife Sonya have two children – Darcy (11) and Grace (7).
