Managing Your Learning
You will receive a Managing Your Learning manual when you commence your studies. The Managing Your Learning manual has been designed to help you get the most from your study and is best used before you begin your first class. It contains activities to help you practise the skills you will require in the course.
Library
The Frank Lowy Library is Australia’s leading business library and a specialised information resource designed to help you make the most productive use of your study time.
The Frank Lowy Library collection and services have been moved to the UNSW Library. The Library collection and services will be part of this fully integrated library serving the Australian School of Business. For more information on these services and resources, contact UNSW Library via Ask libraryinfo@UNSW
You may also visit UNSW Library website at http://info.library.unsw.edu.au/
Study assistance
Undertaking part-time study will introduce a demanding commitment into your life. Juggling study with work, family, relaxation and unexpected crises will strain even the most effective manager. You can make up for short periods of neglect by hard work. However, if you find yourself slipping too far behind, please contact either your lecturer or the Program Office.
The Program Office will refer you to a member of faculty or a senior staff member who may be able to help you sort out an approach to better manage your study.
Other difficulties may require help of a different kind. We may be able to refer you to appropriate avenues of assistance if you find personal or work difficulties are interfering with your ability to study. Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance at any time during your study at AGSM.
The Learning Centre
The Learning Centre of The University of New South Wales is available to enrolled participants to assist with any aspect of study. The Centre has a wide range of academic support services covering such matters as time management, managing study stress, studying effectively, studying in an open learning mode, examination preparation, seminar presentation and essay and assignment writing. It is also available to students for individual consultations. This service is free and confidential.
The Centre can assist off-campus students in a number of ways and you can telephone in with concerns and discuss these with a learning adviser. The Centre can be contacted on +61 2 9385 3890 or through the website: http://www.lc.unsw.edu.au. When you telephone please indicate that you are a student in an AGSM MBA Program.
